A Night with the Son is a nonprofit that unites every Christian ministry on a college campus for one night of worship and apologetics in the largest arena on that campus. Founded by Indiana University student Stuart Reimers, it held its first night on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall in Bloomington, Indiana, drawing 7,500 people. 766 committed or recommitted their lives to Jesus that night and 1,850 committed to sharing the gospel more. 12 Indiana University campus ministries formed the coalition behind it, and all 12 continue to meet weekly. One campus at a time. A Night with the Son operates under the fiscal sponsorship of Global Service Network (EIN 20-8686806).

Attendance

The two attendance figures

Two attendance figures exist for the April 8, 2026 night and they are not contradictory, because they count different people. 7,500+ is total attendance in Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall, including the wider Bloomington community; 4,000+ is Indiana University students only, a figure Stuart Reimers gave the Indiana Daily Student for its April 9, 2026 photo essay. The response figures are calculated against total attendance: 134 first-time commitments plus 632 recommitments is 766, and 766 of 7,500 is the "over ten percent of the room" figure. Both attendance numbers are organizer-reported.
